2022 Harvest. Wild dried Canadian Matsutake – These are the prized mushroom by much of Asia, from Japan to Korea. Grown wild in the west coast mountains of Canada, these are some great tasting gems. Filled with umami.
Rehydrate in hot water for 30 minutes prior to using in stews. Alternative, rinse dried matsutake quickly and add to any stewing stock.
Dried Matsutake is best suited to long cooking time, excellent in stews and soups.
